The Philosophy & Creative Process
For me, creating art is a holistic practice that begins long before the first drop of paint meets the fabric. We work entirely without brushes, using our hands to guide diluted acrylics and natural pigments across raw, unprimed cotton canvas to create soft, translucent layers.
To truly connect with this intuitive process, we begin our journey at the very foundation: mindfully building and stretching our own raw cotton canvases on the first day. Working with wood, fabric, and tension grounds your energy, connects you to the raw materials, and equips you with a lasting artisanal skill to take home for your future practice.
What to Expect
- The Meditative Brush-Free Technique: Learn how to work directly with your hands, layering fluid pigments and diluted acrylics into calm, atmospheric compositions.
- Craft & Foundation: Step-by-step guidance on building and stretching your own custom raw cotton canvas (all stretcher bars, raw fabric, and tools provided).
- Intuitive Painting & Guidance: Dedicated daily studio time with personal support, gentle reflections, and plenty of space to paint freely without pressure.
- Rest & Connection: A peaceful setting in nature, nourishing shared meals, and time to slow down, breathe, and connect with like-minded creatives.
A gentle exploration of paint and water, focusing on transparency, layering, and a calm, meditative process.
If you feel drawn to slowing down, painting with presence, and spending time in a quiet and beautiful landscape, you are warmly invited to join me.
