The Technique: Haptic Depth on Raw Canvas As with all my pieces, this work was created entirely without brushes. In a meditative process, I guided the highly diluted pigments onto the canvas using only my hands. This haptic approach allows the colors to become one with the textile rather than simply sitting on the surface. The result is a matte, organic texture that reveals its full depth between deep teal, mystical blue, and soft haze, depending on the light.
